Quotes from the Masters: Picasso
I’m creating a new category of posts that I am calling, “Quotes from the Masters.” Because of my proximity to Augusta, Georgia, I must add the disclaimer that it’s not about golf.
What it IS about is gleaning the best quotes I can find from European masters of literature, philosophy, theology, music, and the visual, performing, and culinary arts.
It will be up to you to “Bring It Home.”
Since I’ve been having so much fun with the blogging challenges, I’m offering this up as a blogging challenge as well, though it will be a soft challenge. Feel free to use the quote as an inspiration for your own post this week and interpret it as you like, using a photograph, a story, a reflection, a poem, a flower, a song, a recipe, a cup of tea –whatever! Please title this one, ”Quotes from the Masters: Picasso” and please add the link to this page on your post. I’d be delighted to see a link to your post on the comments section of this page, too.
I’ll plan to post a new quote each Saturday–but if I don’t, either I’m taking a break or my server is down. In other words, don’t set your clock by me!
Here you are, your inspiration for today:
“Everything you can imagine is real.” Pablo Picasso

Robin what a wonderful idea! I can’t wait to see what everyone submits; it’s a great quote! And thankfully has nothing to do with golf

)
Ooooh, I like this challenge. And I love the photo–I haven’t seen many images of the Eiffel Tower from that angle at night. I’ll have to see what quotes I can come find.
I am so cheered to know that Madame Weebles approves.
That’s a great start point Robin.
Thanks, Jo!

ALSO: “My mother said to me, If you become a soldier, you’ll be a a General; If you become a monk, you’ll wind up as the Pope; Instead,I became a painter, and wound up as Picasso. ” Pablo Picasso (gorgeous photo, great idea)
Great quote, Babe! Thanks for sharing. (Guess he had no issues with low self-esteem, did he?
)

Cynthia
Thank you, Cynthia. I thought it was rather apropos, myself.
Wow, look at all those lights! I like your quote and photo, a very good match.
Thank you, Lorna! I thought the building of the Eiffel Tower, the harnessing of electricity would work well to illustrate the realization of things imagined.
It works perfectly, an excellent choice!
Thank you, Lorna.
” That Tour ” appears to be a golden way. Like it!
